Read my latest work for the Columbia Journalism Review's "Second Opinion" department, in which I examine media coverage of public health, quality of care, and determinants of health.
My career as a writer and editor has always been consumed by all things healthcare, including topics in medicine, pharmaceuticals, biotech, and health policy, and now, nursing. In the midst of this successful and rewarding career, I went back to school to become a nurse.
I earned a B.S. in Nursing from Columbia University in 2008.
Since then, I've been working as an emergency department nurse and continuing my editorial work as a freelancer for various publications including, most recently, the American Journal of Public Health, The American Journal of Nursing and The New York Times.
